Skater Skull Sticker Part 2 - The Print Job

Saturday, March 10, 2018

I am almost there with these stickers!

This was the second layout and the one I ended up going with as you can see that in the below pic, the sizes were a bit too big.

The final printout on Circuit Printable Vinyl is soooo pretty. I'm afraid to cut it! The greens of the skulls seem to catch the light especially well.

The last part will be the cutting out. But I'll put that off until after daylights savings!

Ciao~

Skater Skull Sticker Part 1 - Also Hey There!

Tuesday, March 6, 2018

Hey hey!

It's been a while. I am a college grad (!) and I'm currently chilling in Sicily. Crazy. I know.

Recently I've started ~ROLLER DERBY~ and as thanks to the wonderful skater who lent me her skates my first few months I wanted to make her some stickers.

I started with a concept based off of a video I saw on youtube, design wise.
Peel Away Pin + Giveaway - YouTube

Idea: Forward Facing Skater Girl melting away to show a Sugar Skull

The skater this is for has day of the dead wheels and stickers, so I'm hoping she'll like it!

Outlines:

Choosing the colors was tricky but I finally got the blonde, blue eyed look I wanted and the colorful skull!

Finally I got the drippy look I was going for!

And a bonus ~see through version

Alright! I'll post the second part soon~ (The actual sticker part!)

Ciao!

Coconut water face mask! (Also hi)

Saturday, April 8, 2017

I am now a senior in college. Crazy. I am graduating in a month. Crazier.

Any ways I was bored and tried this sheet mask from Walgreens!

Here is my stream of consciousness review. You're welcome?

Coconut water fiber facemask, made using Korean ingredients apparently. This was quite cold, smooth, slick and slimy. There was a bit of difficulty with it folding in on itself but I was able to smooth it all out and it covered pretty much all of my face. I left it on for about 20 minutes. And then I rubbed the remaining residue into my skin like it told me to do in the directions. Overall my skin feels firmer but also slightly sticky. While the mask was on it felt warm and kind of rough. Maybe it was the sheet fiber, maybe a slight reaction.
It was fun and I have two more in the pack so I guess I will be using this at least two more times!

Month of Outfits

Sunday, November 30, 2014

From 09/16/14 to 10/16/14 I documented and drew whatever outift I wore that day.
There was no premeditation on my outfits, every morning I would slap something together and later that day I would either draw my outfit or take notes so I could draw it another day.
This was a really fun exercise and I got to really see where I was in my art style(s). I also had to make sure that even though I wore different outfits and had different poses etc. etc., the "sketch" version of myself looked like one person throughout the whole month.
I used an extra small moleskine Volant notebook and did all of my sketches in pencil.

I will post my favorites here but all of the sketches will be available to view on my tumblr (link on the left)

I'll be posting the first ones in the new year!

Last year of Teenagerdom

Wednesday, October 22, 2014

Sooooo... last month was my birthday!
Being in college it's pretty much all on you if you want to celebrate your birthday or not. Luckily for me, I have friends who are willing to go out to eat on a Tuesday night, even if they have midterms on Thursday!
We decided to go to the beautiful Gertrude's restaurant! attached to the baltimore museum of art. I must've been made out of lucky charms because Gertrude's has a $12 discount menu on Tuesdays, the day my birthday fell on!
The highlights of my meal were:

This was an adorable and delicious Chunk of Crab Soup, definitely recommendable!

For my main I had steak and potatoes (simple but delicious) and then it was the dessert that truly took the (chocolate and funnel) cake!

End of Summer!

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Ahh! So this is the last night before I start my sophomore year of college… of college!!!!   (I’m getting so old T^T)

Tristen was super cute when I got home!

Anyways, after the total craziness of this past summer I am here to give a summary of all that “went down.” (finally)

Okay, so summer school weeks 3, 4, and 5 flew by. *whoosh*

I finished up Organic Chemistry 1 and flew down to my parents in Florida. It was so funny getting off the plane because FL is most definitely hotter than MD was. It probably didn’t help that I slept in a basement room in Baltimore and was switching to a third floor bedroom!

During the 4th and 5th weeks I also started ~Online Linear Algebra~ and I was not ready. Not ready at all.

My main problem was that I did not consistently watch the lectures that would go live at 3 pm Monday-Thursday. In doing this, I grew behind on both the material and the comprehension that I needed to really understand the concepts that the class was trying to depart to me. As midterms came and went I became progressively more worried about how I would do in this class. Fortunately, I passed both Lin Alg and Orgo,

if not with flying colors, at least with credits applicable to my major. Huzzah!

In Florida I got to do lots of fun things like going boating and scalloping, visiting Disney world and attending my very first Tampa Bay Comicon!

(Fun Fact: I was at Disney at the same time as my fave blogger Scathingly Brilliant, how funny!)

A (blurry) shot of the Ray Bans I found on the ocean floor while snorkeling. Lucky!

Panorama of Cinderella's castle at Disney World
It was a very relaxing summer (minus the classwork stress) and even though my mom kept expressing concern that I was “doing nothing” and “wasting summer” I like to think that I was doing exactly what I needed to be doing after such a fastpace freshman year.

Anyways, onwards to sophomore year as a Hopkins BME, Let’s go!

Summer School Week 2 Recap

Saturday, June 7, 2014

Monday: we had class and it was a very good class. And during class was my first test and I felt very confident about it since I was like, things are looking up, this is going to be great and then after class I got some food from the restaurant next-door. It's an Indian restaurants, so that's pretty cool.

Tuesday: Class again and then after class they gave us our tests back. I did so much worse than I thought I did. I thought that I had done if not amazing at least pretty well and then to get the grade back and seeing how bad it was really hurt and felt like a punch the gut. Yeah.

Wednesday: Today there was no class so I actually slept in until like 3 PM after staying up until 4 AM. This is not the best idea and I did nothing absolutely nothing on Wednesday. That was a sad day.

Thursday: much like Wednesday I slept in until about 1:30 in the afternoon. My mom did not call me at 9 AM though worrying if I was still safe or alive, so that was good.  I tried to get more information on how to register for this class I'm trying to get into, it's a problem solving class that goes along with my organic chemistry course. However it is crazy trying to go through all the bureaucracy and stuff.

Friday: today we had class and I enjoyed class because we're learning important things and I don't fall asleep. I planned on doing some studying but instead I decided to binge watch the entire new season of orange is the new black and I am regretting it and knew that I shouldn't of done that but I did, so that's that.

Anyways, time to study for the next exam! Let's go!

First weekend of Summer!

Monday, June 2, 2014

I had a not so relaxing weekend. Because of how short this summer class is, the pace of the class is veeeery fast. My first class was last Tuesday but my first test was today, Monday.
Because of this I mainly studied this weekend. Well, I slept in until about 11 and then began studying  after about 4. I'm not the most motivated student.
I did take a break to watch the new Game of Thrones with my housemate and a bunch of his friends. In this episode, someone's head is crushed. Fun!
Anyways, I had my work and I had my fun and I've just finished my first exam.

I think I'm doing well!

Summer School: Week 1 recap

Friday, May 30, 2014

Monday:
Hahaha! This was Memorial Day so class had yet to start. My mom helped me move in to a little row home in Charles village. IMO she left far too early, but I managed to fall asleep in my little half unpacked basement room.

Tuesday: Organic chemistry started at 9oclock and the professor is really cool. He lives in Israel but comes over every summer just to teach Orgo!
After class I went it the library and read a supplementary Orgo book. That was a very studious day.

Wednesday: So the basement shower has no hot water so I trekked to the second floor. It was a pleasant morning. (Seriously, there is great water pressure when you don't live on the seventh floor)
My second class went really well and I really like the professor. He always makes sure that we get two five-minute breaks per class AND he likes to go on really interesting "medical application" tangents!
Later, I went to a supplementary problem-solving course that is also taught by Dr. Klein. It was fun to solve problems in a group setting, but the problem is that this is going to be a VERY expensive supplementary class. I'm going to have to convince both myself and my parents that I want to do this course and that it'll help me with this super fast-paced summer course.

Thursday: Ahh another day of classes. I learned a lot! I also learned that I cannot keep my phone by my bed because my half aslepp self knows how to turn it off. Yeah. I woke up at 8:50 for a 9 o'clock class. But i made it! And on time as well!
Otherwise uneventful, I did eat the same 5 dollar footong for lunch AND dinner. Thrifty

Friday: I made it! I have yet to fall asleep in my class despite its two and a half hour length. This is exciting. I do need to get on top of studying. My first test is on this coming Monday. Egads! I also have only eaten a bowl of cereal and half of a energy bar today. Egads again!

Goals for Next Week:
-Study Hard
-Eat a normal schedule or something
-Hang out with friends or study with them or something
-Stop hanging out alone in your little basement

p.s. I'm doing this for you sister dearest. Love ya!
