End of Summer!

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Ahh! So this is the last night before I start my sophomore year of college… of college!!!!   (I’m getting so old T^T)

Tristen was super cute when I got home!

Anyways, after the total craziness of this past summer I am here to give a summary of all that “went down.” (finally)

Okay, so summer school weeks 3, 4, and 5 flew by. *whoosh*

I finished up Organic Chemistry 1 and flew down to my parents in Florida. It was so funny getting off the plane because FL is most definitely hotter than MD was. It probably didn’t help that I slept in a basement room in Baltimore and was switching to a third floor bedroom!

During the 4th and 5th weeks I also started ~Online Linear Algebra~ and I was not ready. Not ready at all.

My main problem was that I did not consistently watch the lectures that would go live at 3 pm Monday-Thursday. In doing this, I grew behind on both the material and the comprehension that I needed to really understand the concepts that the class was trying to depart to me. As midterms came and went I became progressively more worried about how I would do in this class. Fortunately, I passed both Lin Alg and Orgo,

if not with flying colors, at least with credits applicable to my major. Huzzah!

In Florida I got to do lots of fun things like going boating and scalloping, visiting Disney world and attending my very first Tampa Bay Comicon!

(Fun Fact: I was at Disney at the same time as my fave blogger Scathingly Brilliant, how funny!)

A (blurry) shot of the Ray Bans I found on the ocean floor while snorkeling. Lucky!

Panorama of Cinderella's castle at Disney World
It was a very relaxing summer (minus the classwork stress) and even though my mom kept expressing concern that I was “doing nothing” and “wasting summer” I like to think that I was doing exactly what I needed to be doing after such a fastpace freshman year.

Anyways, onwards to sophomore year as a Hopkins BME, Let’s go!

Freshman year jitters

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

Now that I'm coming up to the end of my first year at college nervous stomach butterflies are showing up.
There are just so many things that I need to do!
I'm meeting my academic advisors soon and he's a pretty awesome dude. He does brain scans or something equally expressive.
My biggest question mark though is this summer. What am I going to do? Where am I going to go?
At least I know where I'm going to live. I went into the lottery and got a double in one of the nicest sophomore housing! It even has a tiny living room!

I got the bigger one!

Anyways, time to study! (Like always)

New Years Update

Thursday, January 30, 2014

Uwah! It's been so long since I posted a post. So I suppose that I should post posthaste!

I muddled my way through a semester of college, hoorah! Go Blue Jays!
And now I have to deal with UNcovered grades, ew.

My nails have started to become boring, but I did do something fancy for this past week!
The waves do come out really cool! (I would show you but they have been chipped BEYOND recognition)

I took a Solidworks course this past "Winter"session and got the chance to make a 3d print. I chose to make two tiny Tardises(?). Sadly they are encased in support material and I have to carve their way out. I managed to cut myself with a tiny flathead screwdriver trying to free the second one. OUCH

Anyways, I am working hard! And really busy! I'm looking into rushing for sororities. I don't think that I will actually join any Greek group, but recruitment week sounds fun!

'Till Later!

High School Fads: The Isthatreallystillhappening?

Wednesday, May 29, 2013

Lets talk things that are still going on.

Like those bra shirts that show your midriff. So many girls tried to wear them. Dress code always got them first.

Well maybe being a 00s kid I like longer shirts?
Truth be told ive found myself showing more skin. But a "bralet"...

Ahhh fedoras. The hipster hat. For every high school event there was the hat-guy.

It seems that they are now feminine-product-y but hey. They are a classic.

Well, I only have one more installment. Then I'll be a college student.

Freaky...

Nearing the End

Sunday, May 19, 2013

Okay, so I have been being run ragged. Senior year is a doozy.
Thankfully I have good friends and a great family to support me and all of my crazy aspirations.
The absolute best perk of my senior year was being able to go to Prom. And I looked fabulous.
My nails were really simple, shiny with a French tip and flowers, but the cool part was how easy it was to stick them on.
I don't normally wear fake nails so it was pleasant how simple it was.
Peel the backing, apply to nail, press hard!
I actually wore these nails for Prom and two different award banquets. If one fell off I would just stick another on.
Here's a picture:

I am just so excited about graduating. Yay!

Twenty -13

Crazy. Are y'all ready for this? I am.
This is the year I'll get accepted to a college.
This is the year I'll graduate high school.
This is the year I'll declare a major (probably).
Wah, this is like the most important year of my life.
My last "high school" winter break is over. The last semester is beginning.
How else am I going to face this other then gold-sparkly hot-rod red nails?

Nyancat mas o menos

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

School is picking up speed. I mean really? A Thursday night football game and then a college essay due the next day? Ah well.

Well here are my nails, the red peeled off. What is funny is that as I was finishing applying the gray (you'll see) I realized that I can't wear nail polish to football games being in the colorguard and all. But pictures were taken and I will probly remove it tomorrow morning.

L: Pinky-sky,  Ring- red, Middle-orange              R: Thumb-blue, Pointer-purple, Middle-pink poptart
Pointer- yellow, Thumb- green                                 Ring- Nyanface, Pink- starry sky again

Hello there Tristen! Is that NyanCat I see on my nails?

SO the image quality is a bit off and so is the paint job but I had fun!

Also my birthday is coming up and I already bought myself a present from sheinside.com. It is sooooo pretty.

Bored... but busy

Wednesday, August 29, 2012

Okay, so school has already started (nevermind that band has been going on for what seems like forever.) and now I should start studying!

Or I can do this...

Gorgeous... no?
So (from left to right) DC Comics, Superman, Green Lantern, the Flash, and Batman.
It only took like, half and hour.
Now my only problem is a topcoat. All of mine seem really smeary and goopy.
Ah well.

Sayonara!

p.s. The people at the backpack company have yet to respond. Should I be annoying about it? >^<

School in the bag

Speedy Messenger - Black Multi Zig Zag
Okay, so I get this bag from Tribeca via Kohls.
Now my problem is that I don't know how to register it.
The website doesn't have a FAQ or a specific page.
Hmmm.
Well School starts tomorrow! Big day. I am Very excited.
I will try to post first day outfit pics tomorrow!

再见
